Very fair!! He's named after the Othello character; his name in Japanese is literally Macbeth so the Shakespeare references are strong here.

Fire Emblem: Fates localized a lot of the names. I'm assuming they changed it because the literary reference doesn't really fit? I'm actually not familiar with Othello so I'm not entirely sure how accurate Iago is either, but that sure is a thing they did.

(Fire Emblem: Fates did a lot of things they really didn't need to do for the localization...)
